Woodlands Waterfront

I was really excited to visit Woodlands Waterfront. I have been there a few years ago, before all the development took place. So it was a small and deserted road, where my uncle, my aunt, my parents and I would go fishing together. After the completion of the Waterfront park, everything is so different now.

Juliana and I reached the Waterfront at around 2-3 pm. It was sooooooooooo hot. I expected the rest of the day to be cloudy, because it was so cloudy in the morning. The sun was literally frying us. Juliana wore her studded cap and her 1-pound sunglasses that were both from Primark when we went to London last June. (I MISS LONDON AND I MISS THE UK SIGH)

She looked so much like a tourist! xD

We went to the jetty first, but since the lighting was too harsh, and we didn't have any inspiration, we decided to walk around other areas. However, it was so hot that we decided to rest at a sheltered place until the clouds covered the sun. So we waited at a sheltered area with benches, took some photos, came into close contact with giant red ants (ew. They still make me shudder.) before deciding to go back to the playground area.

I've always had this idea of taking photos of someone on a swing, with their hair flying in the air. (Inspiration partly from the music video Wings, by Birdy. I highly recommend watching this music video, if you haven't!) and I finally had the chance to execute this photo idea!!! The sky finally became cloudy towards sunset, and the lighting became softer as well :) And that's when both of us started bursting with inspiration :)

Canon 650D, 50mm f1.8. Expansion done in Photoshop, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out! (I re-edited this because I spotted an error but I had deleted the Photoshop file so...it was quite tedious ._.)

We returned to the jetty, and may I say, the lighting was kind of gorgeous.

"Uncomfortable position", according to Juliana. But I think this is quite a cool shot xP

Overall, it was a fun and fruitful day. I'll be uploading more edited photos onto my Flickr soon! Have a good day/night everyone :)
