In Orielton FSC, we made our own "packed lunch". I made two sandwiches, with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers (my love for cucumbers blossomed after the trip), tuna and ham. The next day I decided to ditch the tuna because somehow it didn't smell appetising after being in my bag for the whole morning. And my bag smelled terrible because of that as well.
We carried out the fieldwork, measuring the sand dune profile and collected samples. By noon, we were done with the fieldwork and had lunch on the sand dunes that were filled with beautiful wild flowers.
After lunch, we went for a coastal walk from Stackpole Quay to Bosherston Lily Ponds. And oh my gosh. All the coastal landforms on the textbook appeared right before my eyes. Stacks, arches, stumps, caves, geos, wave-cut platforms, headlands and bays.
My sandwich!
Breakfast was rather simple, yet scrumptious.
Some mini-photo shoot in the morning :)
Oh how I love this place! I've always wanted to spin around in a white dress in there xD
Buttercups :)
Sorry I just love taking photos of plants!
The field in front of the main building in the morning!
The view at Freshwater West was breath-taking. The sea was in a beautiful shade of blue, darkening as it gets further away from the shore. The white, foamy waves broke gently at the shore. The beach was so wide, much wider than the ones here in Singapore. I heard that the tidal range was around 15 metres! There were wisps of white clouds in the azure sky. Everything was picturesque.
Sand dunes at Freshwater West.
The beach was sooo huge.
My group mate found this! FYI a scene from the movie Harry Potter was shot here :)
The sea.
So many pebbles!
More photos of the sand dunes :)
I made a flower ring with the buttercups! xD my fingers look really short and stubby here haha
This was a hard shot because the wind kept blowing the seeds away haha ._.

So so so beautiful.
These flowers smell like coconuts!
Barafundle Bay
Mowingword
The rabbit-shaped rock!
I was fumbling with the camera settings therefore I could only get a photo of the bird when it flew off. It was so close to me!
Panorama view :)
There was someone climbing the cliff :O
Close-up
All the horses grazing.
Broad Haven
The water of the river (?) was super cooling! I had the urge to take off my shoes and stepped into the water hehehe.
Bosherston Lily Ponds! The lakes are mand-made and were built as part of the Stackpole Estate.
The swans swimming :)
My favourite bluebells!
Dessert.
The sunset that I unexpectedly caught. This photo doesn't do justice to the actual one!
Sometimes accidental photos are the best yanno.
All the daisies were facing the setting sun!
After the long, tiring yet enriching trail (it was 7.7 km long!), we returned to the FSC. After the lessons after dinner, I decided to take the longer route back to the main building, despite the freezing temperature of 10 degree C (for someone who lives in the tropics, 10 degree C is really really cold ._.) I'm really glad that I took the longer route, because I was rewarded with a beautiful sunset. It wasn't those sunsets with stunning and bright colours, but it was more of a soft, pinkish kind of sunset. Everything was so tranquil and peaceful.
And yeah. That's basically all about Day 2 in Wales. The next few parts are coming up soon!
Have a good day/night everyone :)
