The Older Parts of Singapore

Hey guys!

Last weekend, a group of friends and I finally went on a long-planned and much-awaited photo/exploring adventure. We went to two places, namely People's Park Complex and Pearl Bank Apartment. Both of these buildings are relatively old, since they are located in Chinatown.

People’s Park Complex is a 31-storey mixed residential and commercial building, and it is characterised by the iconic yellow and turquoise colour of the building, which the grid-like windows of the residential parts of the buildings. Though I've been to that building a few times before, I never knew it was mixed landuse building, and never knew there was actually residential spaces above the retail mall! The other building, Pearl Bank Apartment, is known for its unique three-quarter cylindrical shape. Or horseshoe shape, if you want a more animated description.

You can see photos taken by my friends on Juliana's Flickr and Melvin's Instagram :)

This post will consist of mostly photos (which is an excuse for my laziness and the lack of creativity for any description in words). Hope you enjoy the photos!
