Running in the lalang field - Part 2

It's been two years, and the Lalang Field Gang (as we affectionately call ourselves) are back at it again - but this time, in the field of Coney Island.

We trudged through the lalang fields in full army style. Got some scratches at our shins along the way, and I bet we looked ridiculous in the eyes of the others. It was my second time visiting Coney Island, and I still did not manage to explore the whole place (where's the zen-like stepping stones thingy?!) and did not meet the resident cow there.

Two years on, nothing much has changed. Except we have all graduated from Junior College, and the different hair length and hair styles. May we continue to embark on more photography trips in the months and years ahead.

Also, sincere apologies for the lack of update! This post was meant to go up in March, but I procrastinated, and recently I went on a trip to South Korea. (expect photos and a video diary!) And between this photo adventure and South Korea I've also been on more photo trips...hence I have tons and tons of photos and videos to edit. And it doesn't help that now I've gotten myself a desk job...can't believe my 8-month long break is ending soon?! Where did all the time go! All right, I'll stop my 12am rambling.

Food is a four-letter word

Let's face it. Living in Singapore, a gastronomical paradise, how can you not enjoy finding and eating good food as a past time?

Ever since I've been economically independent (read: having a part-time job), I have been more willing to spend some extra bucks on food. Hence, I've decided to document my food adventures in photos, and compile them into a post. However, not all my food adventures are captured here as sometimes spontaneity calls and I go on a food search without my camera, and the cafe/eatery doesn't have decent lighting for me to take a photo with my phone.

All right. Without further ado, let's dive straight into the (photos of) food!

Angus Burger from Café Etc. It came with some fries, as well as some pickles. I opted for al fresco dining just to get the good old natural light, and clearly Zhang Min wasn't amused at the heat. /inserts laugh cry emoji/

East Coast Lagoon Food Village
Lunch was Braised Duck, while we had Satay, Sambal Stingray and BBQ Chicken Wings for dinner.

Can't remember the name of this place! But this was at a Korean fast food restaurant at Waterway Point. The brown sauce was teriyaki sauce, while the other one was spicy (in fact way too spicy for my liking)

Visited Lowercase on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Really like how it isn't crowded (was totally expecting a noisy weekend crowd but nah) Not the best Eggs Benedict I've eaten, but will definitely go back just for the ambiance.

Glass Noodles with Beef at So Pho! Ordered this instead of the usual Pho cuz I was eyeing the Honey Lemon "Tea" (inverted commas cuz I thought it didn't really have any taste of tea), which was great to combat the ridiculous afternoon heat.

Platypus Kitchen at Bugis Junction. Love the interior of the place, and the lunch set meal was decent too. The salad was fresh, and the cabonara had a legit (albeit really garlic-y) sauce.

And that's the end of this post. I realise I have been terrible at updating my blog, and I will try to keep it more active /inserts the sheepish laugh emoji/
